Can just one slap cause a marriage to break. Well, Anubhav Sinha says so, and shows it in a very emotional way. After the sensitive Mulk and heart wrenching Article 15, he comes up with a story which if actually thought of, should be a story of most of the married females of our country. A slap, which triggers Taapsee Pannu, in one of the best roles of her career, to go against her husband, and fight to save her dignity and self respect, is a slow but moving saga of not only hers but many such women around her in the movie. The film is brave and lifts the lid off silent and crushed female dreams, coz of marriage. The men in the movie are not villains, but they are men who have been like this since generations, less sympathetic and apologetic, and more of superior in nature. One should be happy to see that this movie has been made by a man, that is so progressive.
Dont look for any entertainment in this one. But men can surely introspect through this movie.
