I cannot believe that MS doesnt have a listing for one of my favourites shows !!!
That ’70s Show is all about a group of 6 teens who are always up to no good. Just like every other teenager, they want to do whatever their parents instruct them not to do !!! They don’t understand why their parents consider simple things like - hanging out in the basement, smoking pot, drinking beer, and sex before marriage taboo. They end up doing most of these & are always getting into big trouble.
Eric Forman is the main guy Eric lives in Wisconsin with his parents - Dad Red [a strict father] & Mom Kitty [a very sweet & loving mom] and his college dropout sister Laurie [who is a devil sent from hell !]
Eric has 5 close friends & his house basement is the ’den’ for all their meetings & just chilling out together, pondering about their lives, their parents and their future. This is the place where they plan, implement or create havoc all the time.
The others in this gang are :
Eric’s best friend, girlfriend & next-door neighbor Donna. She is a cool girl who can play excellent basketball & at the sametime flutter her eyelashes at Eric :) She is sensible, patient and she tolerates Eric to the T !!!
Hyde : a serious & cool guy who lives with Eric bcoz his both parents have abandoned him. This however doesn’t keep Hyde depressed or away from conspiring against Eric [Hyde loves eric’s girlfriend Donna].
Kelso : is the stud ! Good looking but intellectually challenged & controlled by his girlfriend Jackie. Kelso, is a like a puppet in Jackie’s hands but at the sametime he cannot keep his hands off Eric’s sister Laurie !!! [lol]
Jackie : is the babe of the gang. Rich & beautiful, she is an expert in everything that deals with relationships, manipulating & makeup. She is constantly breaking up & making up with Kelso.
Fez : is an asian but his home country is kept as a mystery [I think (& hope) he is a paki ] but as of now no one knows his origin coz its never mentioned in the show !! We cannot even make a guess from his name coz his group calls him FEZ which is short for Foreign Exchange Student.’’ His character is very interesting as he is desperate to be accepted in american culture & also wants to lose his virginity, asap. This brings hilarious situations in the show :)
Together these friends go through the growing up years with their share of joy & sorrow. In the end of first season Donna decides to break up with Eric because she wasn’t sure if he’d be the one she wanted to be with the rest of her life. That was a rather sad ending but in the second season its fun to watch Donna & Eric trying to get their friends on their side & their constant bickering/bitching about each other. Even though they try dating other people, Donna & Eric still feel the same about each other & I am sure soon they would get back together.
Right from the first scene of the show, the theme song, the in-between shots where we have the characters dancing like crazy to the dialogues & sarcasm involved between the cast............everything about this show is unique :)
