This is a collection of Feluda stories. Feluda is our very own Bengali Indian Detective created by Satyajit Ray. Feluda reminds me of Byomkesh Bakshi. Incidentally, Byomkesh Bakshi, I believe was inspired by Feluda. This was my first Satyajit Ray book.
This is quite a good murder-mystery story collection, but relatively slow as compared to an Agatha Christie novel. And you get the feeling that quite a bit of the charm of the author’s writing style must be lost in the translation.
The language is simple and easy to read. And the Indian setting is easier to follow. Should be great reading for children.
