This novel is based on a boy called Santiago who has a dream and follows the signs with courage to search for the hidden treasure located near the pyramids of Egypt. In his journey, Santiago sees the vast mysterious world and meets exciting people such as the king, gypsy and an alchemist. On his way he comes across the most beautiful girl whom he falls in love and considers her to be his soul-mate but still feels that his destiny is more important and proceeds. Will he return back to the girl is a mystery that will keep you reading through the novel non-stop. As you continue reading the novel he ultimately discovers that the treasure is hidden in a place where the heart belongs and feels that the journey itself was a treasure through the wisdom that he acquired..
