The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is one of the serenest books that I have come across so far in my life. The book is philosophical on its extreme and would not be a good read for anyone who likes fiction or fables. The book walks on the lines of metaphor and touches the very existence of a person’s soul against time.
The book encircles around the life of a boy and takes within its sweep the readers to a sand paradise in Middle East. The serendipity of nomadic life, their honest beliefs and their idea of existence within the desert which is their home and life is beautifully laid down by the author. This book catches the conscious of its reader and keeps it intact until the very end. It would change your life completely as it had done so far of millions.
