Good things do often come in small packages...the alchemist is a reiteration of this fact.
Linking the sceince of alchemy to the story of a poor sheperd boy, weaving it around a magical fairy tale kinda situation and all this in a short story length. The result for people who have read and understood the powerful message is quite a punch.Every individual`s perception of this world, his/her interactions with all those around him are governed by his subjective experiences in life.Hence each one of us are at varied levels of maturity with regards to various aspects in life, each such individual will find something to take home on reading this book.I had just come out of a very bad relationship and in that frame of mind I understood the book in a way which actually helped me get out of it.My freind was just gonna attend an job interview for a management position , she had finished reading this book and based on her requirement again she had assimilated something altogether different.
the central theme of the book is that ’’one should listen to one`s heart, be aware of what is happening, look for oppurtunities in all that one does, dont take anything for granted, nothing in life is obvious’’.
My words on this book is .001% of what one can expect from this book, so off you go guys/gals grab a copy, start reading from the first page, you will feel like rushing through with it the first time around and you will do that no matter what I say, but be sure to get back to it and read it more slowly connecting it to things in your life.
