Well folks I guess ths particular friendly columnist just cant stay away!!! so here I come with another one of my downtoearth reviews.i have been to the avenue regent on one of my trips to cochin and what I feel about the place is as follows:
it is a pretty nice place as three star hotels go the food is nice and so is the decor. however the service leaves a lot to be desired.the general attitude seemed to be one of take it or leave it.which rather surprisingly is the kind of attitude one comes across in cochin.
let me not digress from the topic as far as the avenue goes the rooms quite okwith all the basic amenities provided.i would rate the hotel as a comfortable one.
much could be improved with a few changes in the staff.the problem basically arising from the hiring of cheap local staff.but all I can say is with the rates being charged as much as the taj malabar well then why settle for second best !!! go for the taj!! though the grub in the taj isnt anything to write home about, but thats a separate review so I shall tackle that later till then its adios from moi!!!
