We visited The Big Barbecue, Marathahalli on February 26th and handed over our 5-month-old Mercedes-Benz to their valet. Being cautious, we even asked if he was comfortable handling it and offered to park it ourselves, but he confidently assured us it was no issue.
45 minutes later, we were informed that our car had a “small scratch.” Expecting a minor dent, we were horrified to see it severely damaged under a collapsed wall! Shockingly, staff admitted that the wall had no cement and was only meant for storage—a major safety hazard.
Instead of taking responsibility, the valet team disappeared, and the restaurant staff laughed, dismissed our concerns, and refused accountability—even after police confirmed the damage.
This was pure negligence, and the handling of the situation was shocking. If this is how they treat customers and their property, think twice before visiting this restaurant. Its been more than 20 days and we are still struggling to get our insurance approved and get the repairs started.
