’’The Blair Witch Project’’ is a fictional movie that was shot in a manner to make it appear to be live video footage. There was much hype for the movie, with trembling teenagers raving about the sheer terror they experienced while watching it, so I felt the need to view it when it came to theaters. All in all, the movie was a disappointment.
While this film could be considered mildly scary in a campfire-tale sort of way, it was by no means as terrifying as promo ads claimed. The plot was substandard and a three year old could have probably came up with better special effects.
All in all, I would only recommend this film for pre-teens or people that don’t like really scary movies...true horror fans will be wasting their money.
