A delightful read

The broom of the system is Wallace debut novel and which make him stand out, to be noticed by the rest of the world.

This novel is not only a work of art to admire it is also extremely complicated and amazingly entertaining. Being Wallace earliest work here you can easily perceive  his influences specially by Don Delillo work.

The first thing I want to bring into the notice  that as intelligent, clever and complex it never looses the plot and turns out to be funny and something to reread again and again.

The creative power of language which is explored throughout the book the whole novel specially by the main character Lenore Stonecipher Beadsman. Lenore is a character which you will end up liking, mainly because she is the only  realistic character in this book.

Other characters have some specific traits, some psychological problem or they are extremely ignorant and the extremeness of their traits make these characters  not really believable. The theme of fiction is explored with the help of number of short stories which are inserted in the novel through the characters. Throughout the stories  Wallace deepen some of the themes of the book  and he also talks about the situation in the contemporary American fiction.

The broom of the system is hilarious, but it is also a haunting book with shades of sadness. Paranoia, conspiracy theories and the way forces that we cant see or know have the ability to shape our lives is another major theme in the book. The book will remain in the back of my mind and in heart for the rest of my life.I will highly recommend it.
