The music album The Buddhist Monks Sakya Tashi Ling was nectar for my ears and my soul.I listen to it every weekend early in the morning as it really charges me up for the day ahead.All the songs in the album are by Sergio Medrano.
The first song "My Spirit Flies To You" in the album was a also a hit in Spain as the Buddhist monks Sakya Tashi Ling are located in Spain.Its a fusion of contemporary with traditional buddhist chants.I love the sound of buddhist chants, the humming chants really have a calming effect on me and this album has combined these chants with the New Age music which is a plus point.There is a female singer also in these album songs alongwith Buddhists. I enjoy going on long drives in the outskirts of Mumbai, along palghar where there is no traffic and listen to this album in my car as I drive.
The second and thirteenth song in this album is my favourite and I listen to this song whenever we go on long drives.The second song is called "Secret Energy" and the thirteenth one is "Lotus Sunset".The chants are very clear and audible in all the songs in this album.And believe me all the songs in this album are superb, so worth it.I enjoyed all the 14 songs in the album.These chants touch the core of my mind and heart and this album is a good move towards spreading good buddhist lessons through the medium of music which appeals to the new generation like us.
Whenever I feel like diverting my mind from the hustle and bustle of the hectic Mumbai city, I take refuge in this music album.
