We normally go to some restaurant for dinner during weekends. We have tried all star hotels in Chennai..and started going to fairly descent and clean restaurants **now....preferably non-vegetarian!
This weekend we had dinner at "The Cascade *-The Chinese Kitchen"
**The Cascade has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian from the East - exotic dishes from China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Taiwan, all just an order away.
Chinese vases and plates which they use, reflect the Oriental connection. They also serve seafood, which is a favorite with the regulars. We started with Lung Fung Soup...see the size of 1/2 soup bowl in the 2nd picture!
Incredibly tasty served in quantities that could feed Genghis Khans army! Dont miss Golden Baskets and the pepper Chicken Starters! The fried rice (mixed, prawn...) and the Noodles - Thai fried, Yue Mein NV noodles etc., are well made and the side dishes do not disappoint!
For dessert, we had brownie with ice cream (really good), mango pudding, fried ice cream (very different....must try!) and Chocolate coated Lychees!
The service was really good. The waiters have good knowledge about the food, and make it to your choice of spices! He also suggests various alternates and quantity!!
Not bad at all! Definitely worth a try!
