I went to this place with my family on 17th may 13. the ambiance was attractive and it was recommended by mouthshut.com (they were displaying a board for the same). well that was the only good part about the restaurant. We entered at around 1015 and I confirmed from the manager that he will be able to serve me. as we sat down they took the order promptly.
The place was hot and humid despite the ACs installed. we had to change tables in order to get in the range of some cooling. we ordered a mix of Chinese and Thai. the food served was such that the soup was only chillis and I had to return it back. the food served was cold and not at all tasty to say the least. the cutlery had to be asked for again and again and to add to that as we were trying to eat what they had served, they switched off the ACs (as if they were working) so what ever cooling was coming to us was over. I literally had to fight with them to get it switched on. the prices were through the roof for such a pathetic restaurant. I packed the stuff that was left for the next day, and from the very next day after eating in this Restaurant, all of us had food poisoning. When I asked the person in charge about the owner, he replies that he is just a manager.
Apart from not recommending to anyone I would also request the Mouthshut.com to take back the recommendations that have been given by you to this restaurant and if anybody from The Cave Chennai is reading this, kindly reply to this review.
