Don't just drink Feel... The Chai...

The Chai Bar

Name of this place is enough to bring smiles on faces. The cafe or BAR as they call it has been functioning since more than five years and is one of the best hangout spot for youngsters in this street food capital of India.

Food and Presentation:

How many forms of Tea can you name. 2, 4, 7?

They have more than 30 flavors of tea. imagine.

The list of items on menu is not just big but is amazingly innovative.

They have so many flavors of tea that no one can stop from having one, my favorite though is the Kashmeeree Kahawa. it is one hot glass of heaven’s nectar that you drink when you have it. The ingredients include Saffron, Almond Chips Pistachio pieces and of course some chai masala, have it during a cool malwa evening and you will bless me for this suggestion. Apart from this, you have regular Tea, Cold Tea, Cold Coffee, Masala Chai, Chocolate Chai, Chai Latte, Chai Mocha, Blue Lagoon, and so many other variants of chai that you can be amazed, of the elements it is made of.

Along with these drinks you can grab so many stuff to eat, like sandwiches, veg rolls, pops, etc.

As far as the presentation of their delicacies goes, they make a lot of effort to make the food and drink look good. You’ll be amazed to see their style of presenting with a simple model of a "nukkad ki chai" but with an elegance, and nuance.

Ambience:

As far as the ambience goes, they have very well structure to replicate a bar, High stools, Lounge couches, the stuff. do check the graffiti on walls which has Indori lingo all around. Also, There is a beautiful picture of His Holiness Dalai Lama The 14, Tenzin Gyatso having a cup of tea. It is so Peaceful.

The Wall Hangings are amazing that go along with the mood of the bar.

The only problem, that I found is that sometimes music is too loud and you can not hear people who are just besides you.

Customer Service:

Like most of the modern day cafes, The Chai Bar is also works on self service mechanism; and the staff, which is mostly young boys and girls, are always ready to serve you with a smile. the best part is they call you with your name, and not by token number; which gives a personalized experience. Kudos to them for that.

Value for money:

Okay, it is not like a regular Tea Stall, it is a cafe, so if you go there just to have a regular chai and expect to shell out 5 Rupees, then don’t. But then again, if you are having a regular chai at chai bar then the question is "Why did you even go there in first place?"

So having said that, the cost per cup ranges between 25 to 150 or 200 for some special flavors; which are seemingly high, but the content, the quantity and the elements are enough to satisfy your taste buds.

All in all You don’t bother spending this much; for so many innovations.

Side note: Don’t just hope to drink chai at chai bar, cause you can make friends too, cause there are people from all walks of life, painters, poets(like my self), bankers, doctors, students, businessperson etc. So it is worth it.

Enjoy The Chai!
