I am no movie critique just a big movie fan!
This movie has a lot of elements that the first one had and for the movie it works out very well.
Story is a real one so I mean there is no problem I have with the plot but I say this, the plot of the first one felt much coherent and better than this but its also good.
Acting was as always on point I was nervous that the child actor will ruin it but she thank god she is a natural one and she made the movie a lot better.
The directing skills that James wan has are exceptional and this is no news to anyone who has been following his work, Conjuring now seems to be a franchise in the R rated world which will redefine the meaning of horror. Many horror movies now a days depend upon cheap VFX and jump scares while James wan prefers makeup, The nun in the movie is a great example. You don’t need to show me VFX in horror I get a lot of those in Superhero movies.
The thing that makes the conjuring a lot different from many horror movies out there is the suspense that James build our time in a scene and then pays it off in a perfect way. I can’t stop praising this movie can i? Well I don’t want to after conjuring I had high hopes for Annabella but it all flushed down the drain but by making this movie James wan is at number 3 of my favorite directors Just below Christopher Nolen and Zack Snyder and mind you that is an elite club in my head.
