Have u read the code yet ?

The Da Vinci Code is a must for anyone who reads novels, and for those who don’t read novels, this is the book to make a beginning with. I must confess that I belong to the second category.

I never read novels primarily because of their size and secondly because i would rather watch the movie as and when it was made.

But this changed when I read the code. This is a different experience altogether because it didnt contain the usual love, war or frindship-betryal themes.

This one has a story built around a curator of a museum who gets murdered and leaves a code written around him with his own blood in a way that only the best codebreakers can solve.

Throughout the book you find true stories of secret societies and the master mind of Vinci, the artist whose every stroke and every character in each painiting signifies a particular ratio or principle of science. A truly work of genius which at first glance appears to be just another painting...

The book also illustrates various ways and means of crime, fingerprint or secret code detection that one cannot imagine. It opens up a whole new level of understanding. Just when u think you have understood the plot, it unravels into another mystery and makes the forthcoming pages that much more exciting...

Indeed its a very well woven web of intrigue revolving around a murder and exposing in its light the existance of secrets that the world never knew...

Of late I’ve heard that Tom Hanks is to make a movie on this topic..lets hope the movie turns out to explain even better than the book !
