This fascinating love story is inspired from the real life events of two artists Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Gerda makes a portrait of her husband Einar, as a lady. This portrait of her husband becomes very popular. Later Einar attempts the first ever sex transformation surgery with the support of his wife and becomes Lili Elbe. Eddie Redmayne as Einar Wegener is really brilliant. He got the oscar nomination for best performance by an actor in a leading role.
