Another brilliant performance from Eddie Redmayne after his award winning movie The Theory Of Everything. His Co star Alicia Vikander also did a faboulas job. The Danish Girl is a biographical drama directed by Tom Hooper, based on the lives of Danish artists Einar Wegener and his wife Gerda Wegener, casting Eddie Redmayne as Lilli Elbe as well as Einar Wegener and Alicia Vikander as Gerda Wegener. In this movie after 6 years of marriage life, Einar discovers his love of living as a female while dressing in his wifes clothes. Meanwhile Gerda starts painting a non existing Lilli, which made her famous and becomes the talk of the art world. As the urge of being Lilli increases in Einar, in Gerda feelings of abandonment and loneliness grow. Gerda and Einar tried a lot to let Einar forget Lilli, but all failed. After so much suffering Gerda agrees to the Sex reassignment surgery of Einar.
This a fairly made picture, intelligent and sympathetic. And obviously well acted, both Vikander and Redmayne do their job perfectly, Redmayne has a child like innocence with a adorable voice and Vikander has her beauty. This is a perfect movie to believe that transgenders are good too.
