This is my first review in mouthshut.
I went to "The Dhaba" restaurant near to Marathalli ORR with my wife for lunch yesterday after she suggested that it was a reasonably priced restaurant. The area is decent and we could park our vehicle easily outside the restaurant.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a guy (may be manager) and were guided to a 2 seat table. He got the menu for us (It is a slate with the items written on it). The waiter brought pappad and chutney and onions - These are free.
As soon as I looked through the prices, my eyes kind of popped out. They charge double compared to other restaurants of the same kind. Veg curries in same kind of restaurants cost around 55-75 but it costed around 140 here. Rotis too are priced high (35/-). We ordered 4 plain naans and one paneer curry.
I had expected the bill to be around 300/- including tax but when the bill came it was near to 350/-, thanks to Service charges of 10% of bill value.
Overall, I would say that if you dont care about money while eating out, You can go there. Else try some other restaurants which provide value for money.
Thanks,
Sudheer
