The Dhaba restaurant in the ORR, Marthahalli - It is a pathetic place to go with yr family not coz of the food, but coz of the Staff behavior and the harassing attitude of cashier.
I went to this place yesterday (Sunday 18th Nov 2012) with my Family and parents. here are the series of event which happened with me -
first of all it looks a good place with mannered staff, which got changed within 10 mins of entry.
the staff was too lazy to take the order, when there was only 3-4 tables occupied.
after some delay they served the food which was not at all up to the mars and was not at all worth of the price.
somehow we manage to eat what-ever they served and need to return the Dhaal tadka as its was full of salt and oil.
the real story started when I got the bill and I was shock to see that they’ve charged the Service Tax of whole bill amount, which was not correct. I politely asked the waiter to explain the taxes, which I couldn’t and took the bill and came back after 5 min with some % mentioned on it.
I paid the bill and then took it to the cashier, he was also not able to answer the question and in reply he started to argue with me.
as none of the waiter were able to answer my query, I went near to cash box to ask the same explanation to cashier, who in reply ( as he himself didnt knw ) he told me to get to the other side of counter in most arrogant and harsh manner in Hindi leng.
when I oppose his behavior, he again argued with me, by the time other waiters came and say sorry and try to close the matter.
but to my utter surprise, that guy who harassed in Hindi & was talking to me in Hindi, started saying that he don’t know Hindi and started talking in Kannada.
as I was with my family and parent, I didn’t wanted to get in to a brawl and left fuming on my and my family’s insult.
in this, the original matter of adding the Service tax into whole bill blew away.
now I am looking to go to consumer court for this clarification.
please beware of such restaurants.
