They were my foremost need after food...

(PLEASE EXCUSE MY SPELLINGS BECAUSE THEY ARE TYPO ERRORS)>>>>>SORRY)

I am sorry but my opinion canbe slightly biased because of the nostalgia I have for Enid Blyton books...

Well I feasted on The famous five series throughout my childhood(there are also a lot of other things I feasted on resulting in my extra oodles of adipose)and have ended up reading all the 21 books this series offers!

Enid Blyton’s ’THE FAMOUS FIVE’ series tell us the fantastic adventures of the 4 children namely, Julian, Dick, Georgina(George) and Anne with their wonderful companion Timothy the Dog!All of them are siblings and very fond of each other’s company.....no matter what they do they are bound to get stuch up in some adventure or the other during the holidays when they are together....They are in school in the term and always together during the holidays....What makes these books so special is the distinct charater sctched in a fantastic manner by the author. These books are the ideal for kids aged from 9-13 years though I still read them(lol) sometimes...also the way the author describes certain things like the innemurable meals the children have, the fantastic english country side by which the children hike and bike, the Kirrin Island that they own, makes them very special. You feel like being a part of them and having the kind of life they have together!...also the sketches of the other characters like Uncle Quintian and Aunt fanny..Joanna the cook etc are done in such a beautiful manner that you can often relate to them without any hassles

’’the children went biking along the beautiful narrow road with sparkling springs and bunny rabbits here and there..they stopped at a pretty village called manglinton tovvy and had hot scones and giger ale’’....these are the sort of detailed descriptions that make you get hooked to your coppies....and often make you curious about what the elglish country looks like and how a ham and egg sandwitch must be deliciously melting in your mouth!

The marvalous and gripping writting style of Enid Blyton is another reason for you to be hooked to them.....she is very spontanious and real.....Her characters are just normal people like you and me but with a special art of knowing how to spend their time in a beautiful manner.......it also teaches you that comapnionship and company matter most and if you have got it then there is nothing like it....

overall I strongly recommend this series......a childhood blessing!

A few out of the innemurable other titles by the author include....

  1. the secret seven series

2.amelia jane.

3.Twiddle.

4.The 5 findouters
