This series of famous five is on adventures and is a mind boggling book. In this book my favourite character was Wilfrid. The famous five had to look after him since his grandmother was gone to take care of his cousin who was under the weather. Wilfrid was an animal lover and so am I. He lived on a hill in a small cottage with a beautiful vision. He had a magic pipe which he played and the animals from far and near came to him. Though wilfrid was annoying he rescued the famous five who while boating accidentally went to the whispering island. This clearly indicates that he is a brave boy.
In this book the most thrilling part was when the children found a door in a well at the island. Wilfrid also found a secret passage which led to a room where there was a bed of gold and many other things made of gold. They were caught by the keepers guarding the island.
