Now, this book was given to me by my cousin brother as a rakhi gift. And, I will forever thank him for that. When I think of a romance, novels have this out-of-the-world beautiful girl and super rich and super handsome boy.
But, what makes this novel different is the fact that not just the characters so much like you and me, but suffering from cancer. Even though I cried tears turning to every new page of this book, it was not because I felt pity for their disease. It was because John Green, filled Hazel and Augustus with so much fun and life although suffering from a deadly disease.
Situations, plots, twists and turns in this book were so admirable that I managed to read 316 pages cover to cover, in the entire single night at a stretch. I loved how the dialogues and descriptions were so simple yet they managed to define love, life, death sort of philosophical things in a brilliant manner. Nothing about this book is predictable. In fact, while writing this review, I had to constantly keep hold of myself, so that I would not sound like a crazy obsessed person about this book.
But, yes, its a best book to read, to gift your loved ones, to keep it in your book shelf and remember the awesome moments and the butterflies and peacocks you had in your stomach while reading it.
