Was waiting for a nice english movie, as being a fan of FD series, me went ahead to watch this one, let me first say what the movie is all about and the will put my views on that.
MOVIE(story)
Nick O’Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave. escaping seconds before Nick’s frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. Thinking they’ve cheated death, the group has a new lease on life, but unfortunately for Nick and Lori, it is only the beginning. As his premonitions continue and the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one-in increasingly gruesome ways-Nick must figure out how to cheat death once and for all before he, too, reaches his final destination.
MY VIEWS
the original film was cool and quite original, you can get away with the second but this is number four in the franchise and its really really not needed. The bottom line is every one of these films is exactly the same hehe its just a continuous stream of ingenius ways to kill people with accidents, of which many are getting rather silly, had this been the second film it would have been ok but as said its number four so. Don’t get me wrong I actually enjoyed this as I have done with all the FD films, its creepy and some of the death sequence ideas are nice, its totally unoriginal now and you can see whats gonna happen all the way, but there’s something luring about it. I like how, like previous films, none of the main characters are safe including the’hero characters’ and the fact that’death’ or a force could be behind the accidents, it makes you think what’force’ is giving the main character his/her visions of the accidents? is there something in that? The one thing I didn’t like about this particular outing is the breaking of the’death chain’, its said if you break it then you can avoid being killed but it seems to be unbreakable, in the film everything always seems to happen for a reason or its’meant to happen’ which kinda makes it impossible to save yourself really and in a sense spoils the film alittle cos there’s no’safe house’ or way out. You need a way out really to give the hint of light at the end of the tunnel or its comes across as no point in even trying, its just a death coaster haha In a way you could go on with this indefinitely, worth a watch once if you are a fan of the series.
