This is one movie that cannot be, excuse the cliche, ’’forgotten’’. Of course, the movie will not be able to satisfy all movie goers. It comes with its own flavor. I am a great fan of the supernatural and horror genres. However, after having watched so many movies that appear the same thing over and over again, one gets tired.
The Forgotten, is a genuine attempt at trying to change that, to make movies about aliens a little less boring, and to keep you guessing, atleast a little!
I won’t reveal anything about the storyline. This is more of a recommendation as to why you should watch the movie.
Here is what you will get, an extremely slow movie at times, it will suddenly spring surprises at you. The pace picks up after sometime, but not much. The videography and screenplay is excellent, and some of the shots and sceneries are truly admirable.
Shots that involve suspense and horror have been well shot, and they do surprise you, and keep you wanting for more.
Yes, the ending does seem common place, but for people who have watched hundreds of movies of this type, the effort to present the material is a little bit intriguing.
Recommended for that night when you are not bored, and ready to try something new. Won’t disappoint you that much, if you don’t expect a lot...isn’t that what we always say!
