Forum -Stands up to its true meaning

Looked up its meaning in Answers.com look what I found - The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business.

I have been living in Bangalore for around two years, But we stepped into the Forum to watch a movie, If you have read my review on Taxi No 9211, some months ago.Reason being we were apprehensive about the cost and the tempation to buy what is displayed in such a grand manner. Its not that I have never even ventured into a mall, but my experience in the middle east was quite different, cause out there you would get more value for money.

Let me take you though a guided tour of the mall through my eyes, I prefer to keep them closed at some places, My hubby and I are more happy strolling through this mammoth mall mostly to watch a movie. However we are not that stingy, Its a mad rush when ever there is a sale, so we took the opprtunity to shop at West Side. Great clothes with a riot of colours. Fabmall supermarket chain has found its place on the southern entrance side. This of course would be found on the first level.

I some how like Landmark because of the huge collection of books on the second level, my huband some how gets glued to the books that challenges the divine and music collection on the third level. The crystals of Swaroski are just amazing, the ambience this shop is mesmerising, some how the little parrots etched into my memory and other crystals are chiselled to perfection.I havent been to the food court on the second level once I do I think ill come back and edit this post.NIC NISH also has got a fabulous display

There is a shop with miniature cars, but I cannot recollect its name - some day I will buy a Porche or a Rolls royce here if not the real one.

Oh yes the other weekend we experienced the sound and visual effects of Indian answer of Surround System to its counter parts in SONODYNE, however the sales man did a good job and almost convinced us to buy a surround system costing INR58, 000.Once again may be some day.

Apart from these there are many brands that can be found here.

The mall makes you feel good, lots of life, many youngsters and people of all ages.I guess all the walking you do makes you hungry ultimately you land up in one of the food courts there. But for us the centre of attraction is the Multiplex PVR with its Classic and Gold entries.I gather from the rates it would be cheapest if you watch a show during weekdays before 12P.That answers why so many college students bunk class.Anyways thats part of college life I guess.

A little bit of statestics I gathered from one of the blogs is The Forum is supposed to be one of the biggest malls in India with an area of around 650, 000 lakh sq ft and parking of 300, 000 sq ft where around 800 cars can be comfortably parked. By the way it is designed you can park your car into the level of your choice and hop into your favourite shops.Other wise you can always enjoy the escalators , lifts or may be even stairs if you choose.

Our next visit would be for the premiere of Salam-e-Ishq.So happy shopping, Windowshopping and Viewing people.
