FORUM means “The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business”
This recently evolved shopping mall has given new face to the shopping trend in Bangalore.. Earlier people had Commercial Street, Majestic, Jayanagar 4th Block, MG Road (Mahatma Gandhi Road), and last but not least Brigade Road.
People still freak out in Brigade Road on the weekends. But the parking is a menace here.
No wonder they have come out with some new trend of parking fee by an automated Parking fee collector.
Well lets come back to THE FORUM! As I said earlier this public Square has everything you ask for! Lets say… Eatery, Multi-Media, Grocery, Cool-Joints, Browsing Centre, Gift Shop, Electronics, Clothing, Computers, Bakery, Theater, Fast Food, Video Gaming.. etc… ooof!
I don’t say people just come and waste time here.. rather they make a big crowd on weekends. Especially, families should not make small groups blocking the way for floating crowd.
TRANSIT: Though the name is no where related to the Eatery. They have the best ones on board. It’s a combination of South Indian, North Indian, Chinese, Punjabi, continental.. etc. There are different outlets as wide variety of choice for food. The Switzerland Ice cream parlor is one of my Fav.
Pros: The place is really clean, Choice of food.
Cons: Self Service …. And long Queue sometimes.
Apple show room: People who are Mac freak.. There journey ends here as you get THE electronics gadgets found here. The Slim Monitor to a Thin Apple Notebook. Though its not a bangaloreans trend to buy Macintosh yet. Say 5 – 8 % of people may shop here !
LANDMARK : Your family will be extremely happy to be there.. as it consist of beautiful cookery items, good and rare collection of Music, Cards, Stationery, decorative items, Show piece, etc.. But also keep a close watch on your pocket as come stuff really not worth.

People who have a craze towards movies. They have found the right place to be.
Mc Donald though I did not like the food in here… People just rush during the lunch time. They have nicely packed food. One good thing here is.. You need not wait for long in queue as they serve you quickly. Well, try it out as this the first time Mc Donald has arrived the Garden City!
Browsing centre You are in a middle of something and suddenly you remember to reply an important mail.. Do not worry… Our Ambani Family’s Reliance Web World is here in the ground floor. The surfing experience is really good. With high speed you save a lot of money here. The facility management here is quite cooperative they assist you on sending an email too… Well I know you don’t need that.
KFC This is the big time fav of Non Veggies .. Think Good Eat Good. That’s
what strikes my mind. Once I enter KFC.
Gaming You have a gaming center in the Second Floor, Where lot of kids gather with their Mum & Dad. Most of the time you see parents trying to divert them from that place.
Parking Facility No hassles as one might hardly wait for a minute before you get into the entrance from the main road.
Miscellaneous The mall is identical from both sides. I mean from the front entrance and the exit. Take your girl and go buy the tickets of the movie of your choice as at given point of time you have minimum of 4 movies to begin with … Take her to Archies gallery and buy her that doll and the Key Bunch…she always wanted.. then have a pizza in Pizza Hut, and visit Transit .. By the time you just come out of Landmark its time up for the movie… So hurry towards the PVR Cinemas entrance.. With the POP CORN and Oye oye Bubli PEPSI
Overall you can spend a 4 – 5 hours in one place.
