This review is about the French Loaf on Harrington Road. Been here a few times out of compulsion. I have a friend who chooses to meet me here cos he stays somewhere around.
They made to order cakes are good but quite overpriced. Ad for pastries and breads, most of their stock is old - just a shade lesser than stale.
They have the SubWay concept for Sandwiches. They offer three varieties of European cheese that they do not generally have in stock. The cheese is optional. If selected, you would be charged whether or not the same is used in preparation. Many a times I have had a sandwich there, I was served a filling of Onions and beans instead of Cottage cheese and mushrooms. The manager didnt take my complaint and insisted, without having a word with the chef, that the sandwich had cottage cheese and mushrooms - grotesquely overpriced.
Billing takes quite some time even wen the store is empty. The staff is indifferent and behaves like they doing you a favor.
