No New storyline

This is a thriller murder mystery film. An alcoholic woman Mira Kapoor(role played by Parineeti Chopra) travels by train and she saw from the train’s window a happy woman Dr. Nusrat John(role played by Aditi Rao Hydari) on her balcony. One day Mira Kapoor looks at Dr. Nusrat John with a man on her balcony. On that day, Mira Kapoor realizes that Dr. Nusrat John is not happy at all. She was trying to know about that unknown man who was with Dr. Nusrat John at her balcony as well.

Mira Kapoor’s married life was not going well due to her miscarriage. She turned alcoholic after that incident. Mira Kapoor’s husband Dr. Shekhar Kapoor(role played by Avinash Tiwary) get blamed her for any kind of mistake done by her. But in reality, all things are wrong. Mira Kapoor’s husband Dr. Shekhar Kapoor gives wrong information to her wife. Mira Kapoor knows these things later. In that meantime, she consulted psychiatrist Dr. Hamid(role played by Tota Roy Choudhury).

On another hand inspector Dalbir Kaur Bagga(role played by Kirti Kulhari) was an investigating officer. Inspector Dalbir Kaur Bagga accused Mira Kapoor for disappearing of Dr. Nusrat John. But in the end, Mira Kapoor investigates everything by herself. Inspector Dalbir Kaur Bagga was the main mastermind for accusing Mira Kapoor in Dr. Nusrat John’s missing/murder mystery.

Actually, inspector Dalbir Kaur Bagga wanted to take revenge with Mira Kapoor and her husband Dr. Shekhar Kapoor because inspector Dalbir Kaur’s father dies in a car accident which was done by both Mira Kapoor and her husband Dr. Shekhar Kapoor.

There are too many little twists in this film which seems not to look better. I have explained/covered only the main characters’ role/story of this film. There are also some other characters who played average roles like a detective, Mira Kapoor’s friend Piya, Inspector Dalbir Kaur’s assistant, etc.

Personally, I didn’t like this film too much due to the weak/old storyline. The climax should have been more interesting.

This film based on the novel/book "The Girl On The Train". The author of this novel/book is Paula Hawkins.

This film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and this film is released on the Netflix OTT platform.

Overall, I personally felt, this is a boring film which has no new storyline and I am giving two stars to this film.
