Is a coke bottle an evil thing???

Is a coca cola 250 ml empty bottle an evil thing? Well for the Bushmen of Kalahari Desert it is certainly an evil thing. If you think that I am joking then you are wrong. Watch the movie and you will believe in what I have written above. It is one of the funniest movies ever made.

The story revolves around a Bushman named Xixo. Xixo and his family live in the Kalahari Desert far away from the city. They don?t know anything about city life and spend most of their time in hunting wild animals. They live a nomadic life.

One day a pilot of a small aircraft throws an empty bottle of Coca cola out of the window while flying through the Kalahari Desert. Xixo finds the bottle and thinks that it is a gift from the gods. He takes the bottle home and shows it to his family. The family is overwhelmed when they see the bottle since they had never seen such a thing in their whole lives. They use the bottle for various purposes. They use it for cooking and playing purposes. The bottle becomes a very important thing in their lives. Later they start to quarrel with each other for the possession of the bottle. They had never quarreled with each other before this. Later they come to a conclusion that the bottle is an evil thing given to them by god since it is because of this bottle they quarrel with each other. The Bushmen decide to get rid of the bottle. Xixo volunteers to throw the bottle at the end of the world (the sea is the end of the world according to the Bushmen). He takes leave from his family and sets out to throw the bottle in the sea.

Meanwhile we meet Andrew Steyn (Marius Weyers), who is a veterinary working in the Kalahari Desert not far from the Bushman, and Kate Thompson (Sandra Prinsloo), who gets tired of her current job and is eager to work as a teacher in Botswana. Steyn is given the job to pick up Kate and bring her to the village where she intends to teach the poor African children. Steyn gets very nervous whenever he is around women. Whenever Kate is around he acts clumsily. He tries his best to show Kate that he is not a foolish man.

We also meet Sam Bogha (Louw Verwey), a wanted terrorist, who takes Kate and some children hostage in order to run away from the police. Later all the different stories connect with each other. Steyn gets a golden opportunity to prove to Kate that he is not a foolish man. Steyn and his friend, along with the bushman succeed in saving Kate and the children. In the end the bushman throws the bottle in the sea and returns home to his family. Kate and Steyn live a happy life.

The movie is full of comedy. It movie is a great family entertainer and I recommend it to people of all age groups. The movie may not be easily available as it is very old. The sound and picture quality is above average. The movie is worth seeing twice. Enjoy the movie.
