Unconquered Versatality and Supreme Staying Power

Sunny, honey-toned molten gold creating jewels of timeless exquisiteness. That effectively sums up Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s musical repertoire that contains timeless melodies like ’Hansta Hua Noorani Chehra’.

Laxmikant-Pyarelal brought bahaar into so many hit films of the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties that their music came to be considered an essential component for a successful film. Laxmikant-Pyarelal delivered truckloads of chartbusters often with one film, unlike today where only a couple of songs from a film go on to become hits.

It is doubtful that any other composer has given so many hit scores and so consistently.

No anthology can do full justice to the unconquered versatality and supreme staying power of Laxmikant-Pyarelal. It would only be in the fairness of things to crown Laxmi-Pyare as the most successful composers of Hindi cinema.

40 years have passed since Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey got together to sing ’Tum ganga ke chandrama ho’. Not a single crease has appeared on the shining smooth surface of the song.

HMV had released the CDs(two) and Cassets STHV 831547 TO 831550.

(four) titled ’’THE GOLDEN COLLECTION ’’ LAXMIKANT-PYARELAL’’

Lyricist like, Anand Bakshi, Asad Bhopali, Majarooh Sultanpuri, Raja Mehandi Ali Khan, Sahir Ludhiyanwi, Santosh Anand, Rajendra Krishna, Pt. Bharat Vyas, Pt. Narendra Sharma, Anjan and so on have written the songs.

The Songs are sung by Mohammad Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Kishor Kumar, Mukesh, Mannade, Pankaj Udhas, Sudesh Bhonsle, Kavita Krishnmurthi, Manahar Udhas, Mehandi Hassan, Talat Aziz, Sukhwinder Singh and so on.

L-P (Laxmi-Pyare), were the composers who excelled, consistently, for more than three decades, in all forms of film songs such as classical based, folk, qawwali, mujra, western, lori, bhajan and ghazal and everything is available in these CDs & Cassets.

You will enjoy the music, from 1963 down to the end of the century, only by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
