Me and my friend are great lovers of eateries. I am a pure vegetarian and my friend is a pure carnivore.
My friend had been coercing me for about a month to try the Great Kebab Factory, which is located in Powai, Mumbai. I guess my sub conscious mind had been warning me about this place, but I finally gave in to my carnivore friends emotional blackmail.
I was impressed by the decor of the restaurant and felt that it was spot on. Very impressive.Scrumptious feast awaits I said to myself. Our waiter promptly began serving the appetizers to both of us after confirming our preferences. Far from tantalizing our taste buds were repulsed. I recollect the veg kebab being under cooked, it had a grainy semolina like texture. The only thing that was tolerable were the spiced potatoes. My friend was really disappointed to learn that they were not serving pomfret or other good fish.
The main course was equally bad. The dal makhani was below average. You wouldve thought that for 1100 Rs per head they could atleast offer a decent variety of desserts, but no. All they had was Gulab Jamun, Firni, Sabudana Kheer & 1 other thing which I cant remember.
What a waste of time, tongue and money!
