Well, friends, I believe, with what you will read below (a letter to the editor).... youll find why The Times Of India too believes that The Hindu is a good paper - it doesnt sell editorial space and doesnt resort to nude pictures to sell its paper (Although this letter is quite old -2004):
No Sex Please
Just when one tries to catch up with the latest news in the morning, you read a story like ‘Do you get it? Indians say, frequently’ (Jun 3), on the front page advocating free extra-marital sex. Going little further, page 5 gives a graphic analysis of sex among Dilliwallas.
I don’t understand how you think people are interested in reading only this and not the news. This type of information can at best be given in the magazine section. In fact, this type of material should not be printed at all. There are very young readers also. There are many concerned parents in my organisation who are planning to stop subscribing to this newspaper for the sake of their children.
What I find that non-news nonsense portion is getting more and more space in this newspaper at the cost of serious and detailed news, and if this continues I am sure you would be losing many of your readers sooner or later.

Thank you for your valued opinion. May we suggest as an alternative, our esteemed sister publication, The Hindu.
