<now why didnt Denzel get an oscar for this?>
well u see thats the first thing that came to my mind.the movie’s a masterpiece.
i know I am a Denzel washington fan, if u’ve read my other review on <the movie Training Day - sheep vs. the wolf> u will b sure of it, but I guess whatever is amazing is amazing. I was in awe of denzel only after these 2 movies.
well to begin with the story, its inspiring, it kinda pumps u up.fight fight fight even if u losing, dont quit.
although I could go gaga over denzel’s performance again, theres one shot that keeps playing in my head. its when denzel(rubin ’hurricane’ carter)is confined to solitary imprisonment for 90 days. the mental trauma he goes thru has been fabulously depicted by denzel.
watch the movie to understand racism, integrity and freedom of the mind, body and soul(sounds to rhetoric but quite applicable)
