Narrative is great. Each and every detail is explained(atleast I understood). But few times I got bored with architectural descriptions where every bricks color is mentioned(I found no importance in that). Dialogues between characters are awesome. Action sequences are well described and there is ample amount of that. Each and every character is well described however, this book is solely written for the main character Shiva, it seemed more like "know lord shiva(Neelkanth)" rather than "immortals of meluha"
I wont say Amish has done some extraordinary job, because the subject and genre is mythology+fiction, which is a new one. No other book of such a combination has been printed before. It was a good experience going through this book, but then, it failed to excite me at certain levels. Shiva, who is shown to be a protagonist, is also shown as an ordinary man, a migrant, and who is even defied at certain stages.
