Reviewing a Film isn’t my Forte(not that I have many) and this review should be considered more of an "alert" to watch this film as for most I assume haven’t heard of this new release, at least going by the number of reviews on MS for this film.

How did I come across such a film? - I did chance upon a review on Nytimes.com and for obvious reasons such as lack of "popular" star/s power (except Naomi Watts) and promotion, this film has been passed off. - (For a Detailed review like Star names and names of their puppy dogs and the opening sequences Etc - Please read the review on the nytimes.com) As unfortunately since the film lacks Stars etc remembering Character names as references is kinda tough.

Why did it interest me? Because it had to do with a certain entity all of us today have grown very suspicious of - "Banks". And the murky world of financial institutions. And also given the dreaded ’R’ word is a fallout of the notorious ways of Top banks, many of them don’t exist today...

And the Film is about that - About the murky world of Financial Services and Global Money transcations. About an honest and sincere Interpol officer investigating the role of suspicious transactions carried out by this bank called IBBC. And yes there is a Bank in the real world by this name. About certain transactions that just don’t seem to be in the realm of conventional banking. And so the investigation by this noble officer begins.

His reason for suspicion is based on why is the Bank involved in purchasing Weapons systems for a certain country or for a certain Group? Well it could be that two entities participate in a legal weapons exchange program which is then financed rather funded by the Bank. But is it so? But then why would the bank invest huge amounts of it’s own capital in those transactions? Well that’s because the money in being a broker to these "weapons deals" is huge.

Or is it? - The bank actually then invests its money and pushes for arms deals between countries/corporates or ensures that certain "Missile control systems" reaches the desired parties on time. The bank pursues all this with so much vigor when being a broker i.e. commissions etc on sealing these deals isn’t that huge. Again with uncanny enthusiasm it deals and negotiates with various suspicious outfits such as rebel groups and those involved in conflict zones. Why all this?

It is because the bank wants to Control the conflict - You control the conflict and then you control the debt - And that’s when you make a killing!

So the bank deals with rebel outfits that are involved in uprisings to prevent various Govt. from coming to power or oust them. Okay - So this has been heard before - Controlling and funding various conflicts - Some Rich Arabs are accused of funding several banned outfits - So what the heck? When you know it’s murky and so clear then surely there would be some reason to nip the bud?

Well because it’s not just the Bank and it’s interest of making money through Debt - The bank is used as a front by various intelligence agencies right from the CIA, Mossad and other intelligence outfits to Governments to ensure their motives are carried through seemingly Legal means without catching anyone’s attn. So it not just the bank but how governments use this bank to pursue their political Agenda in the International arena, Finance being one of them...

So they are all in it and part of this bank and how various conflicts zones and weapon exchanges are controlled - So when it comes to an investigation by the Govt. - Everything is covered up as it’s in the interest of the Govt.

Does the honest Officer win? - Well all he succeeds in is avenging the death of his colleague by killing the Chairman of the Bank. And the parting line of the chairman to the officer captures it all - He is just a face behind a larger motive. He’s gone and then there are other bankers that will replace him and this will continue" (or something to that extent)

And so the bank reports great quarter profits despite being in the doldrums for poor asset quality -"Everything is fixed" and taken care of. The papers, media, it’s stock - Everything is back to normal and the bank continues with it’s sinister motives only under different names.

Worthy of one watch for those who aren’t aware of how brutal and murky the financial system is. Also Unlike "Wall Street" the movie, this one also deals with money and might interest some of you.

And might make you wonder - Those big names in the industry- Well...Somewhere down the line no one knows what’s happening inside...

Enough for the day - So I wait for the following comment "Hey Vineet, That was a Nice review. It seems very interesting. I will surely catch it in my free time. Thanks for sharing the info"
