I had always been watching The Kapil Sharma Show as I am a big fan of Kapil. The show was at its heights and so was Kapil only till the time when Kapil had a spat with his co-star Sunil Grover.
This was the turning point in Kapil’s life as well as for the show. The show lost its TRP’s heavily, Kapil got into a state of depression and due to all this sudden turnaround ruined the show.This was the time I was really disappointed with the show as it was really the only entertaining show on the TV.
It was the only show on TV for everyone in the family, which elders, youngsters and children all enjoy together. The format of the show was perfect, and the best thing is Kapil’s comedy timing, which I like the most.But, once the show was out, the TV again got boring with all those Saas Bahu daily soaps. After revival from all the mess Kapil faced, there came the news of him getting back on the television with a whole new show-Family Time With Kapil. I was really very excited and happy with this news and was eagerly waiting for the show. But, with the first episode on air, the show appeared to be a complete mess and really a big disappointment. This was because of following reasons:
1- Firstly, in an attempt to add some new flavour to the show, they introduced a game show kind of theme, which was very much like Govinda’s Chappar fadd K, which was a show before a long time.
2- This game theme was really boring as it did not suit Kapil’s genre, he is really good at standup and he should only continue with it.
3- In addition to the game theme, the features from the previous show are pretty much maintained the same.
4- Kapil has his punches, Q& A session with the audience, but this time, the people to answer questions asked by Kapil, are selected by throwing a ball, for which the audience literally creates a mess.
Overall, the show was very high on expectations, but proved to be disappointing.
