We chose Karighars for being the most trusted and reputed home interior designer in Bangalore, but after getting our interiors done and releasing our dream home, in hindsight, I would choose Karighars for their Skilled Craftsman, who weave magic and give life to peoples’ dreams
When we started our engagement, we just had an abstract, fuzzy, incoherent and somewhat contradicting ideas 😂 about what we wanted. All those were completely absorbed by our designer Shilpi Goel under the leadership of Gursimer. I strongly believe Design is deeply personal and should reflect the people living in it. And during out numerous face to face discussions over 3 months, clarity replaced fuzziness, cohesion replaced incoherence, abstractness turn into concreteness!
I believe a key quality of a designer is to say NO and staying true to the design philosophy. Yes, you read it right, NO. Shilpi and Gursimer are excellent at this and made sure we balance design philosophies with pragmatism. Of course we had our fair share of disagreements and arguments, all for a win-win cause, pushing and refining the boundaries and edges of our design.
Its fair to say towards the end, we felt like interns completing our design internship under Shilpi and Gursimer 😀
It’s just half of the job to get a great design, but a totally another beast to execute it on the field and realise it. This is where the strong dream execution team led by Syed Mateen, Waseem, Prateek and Shailender. Very transparent and trustworthy team that boosted our belief and confidence on realising the 3D renderings in the 3D space! Building trust normally takes time and is brittle in most of such engagements. But in this case it was mutual built out of mutual respect and belief in each other.
Any issues and discrepencies from the production drawings were immediately acknowledged and immediately addressed, staying true to their core values. All efforts and involvments(right from Abhishek Sir) were made to ensure we get the house handed over around on the promised date range.
I believe in recognising, highlighting and appreciating all the people who work at the ground level realising theirs’ as well as others’ dreams.
