Irfan and Imran(or Emraan); The names remind us of two fast bowlers each from both the sides of the borders. Err! we Indians! Are we discussing cricket again? No So what is it? Its Bollywood! Kalyug, Gangster & now The Killer; The Bhatts have finally a formula for making better movies.
Inspite of being a hollywood flick The Killer is a great movie to watch specially on a small screen because you can always fast forward the songs which are horrible this time.
Movie:-
The story is about how a taxi driver falls into trouble by offering his cab to one of the passenger. Now you will think what can happen in such a small boundary. The question is what if the passenger is a professional killer. A killer who hires a single cab, pays the driver ransomly and kills him at the end and flees away.
Mid way the driver(Emran Hashmi) realizes that he is carrying his death in his taxi. His protest is the WHOLE DRAMA where he tries all stunts to get rid of this unknown passenger (Irfan Khan) and ends up in a total mess. He meets his dream man, his idol, the don of the city Dubai, Jabbar and finds the later as a disturbed & weak person from within. He decides for what-so-ever and fights with this killer when he learns that his beloved girl friend is on the killers hitlist too.
Performances:-
Emraan Hashmi is getting better and better by each movie. There is a very good actor far beneath and I guess that will come out some day. Lucky he! as he belongs to the Bhatt family!
Irfan Khan! Aah this man need no introduction! After mind blowing performances in Rog, Aan and Chocolate this man burns the silver screen in and as The Killer. From TV serial Chandrakanta to the popular HUTCH ad he speaks less than his eyes do.
What ever he speaks becomes a dialogue which reminds us of Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Kumar and Dilip kumar.
Nisha Kothari looks good but does not have much to do here except for some dance numbers.
Music:- Sajid Wajid FAIL to maintain the musical tag on the Emraan Hashmi movie series.
Hibbakki is the only good track which comes at the end.
Quotes: -
"Bachha seekh gaya"
"Aaj main ek taxi driver nahi aashiq hoon"
"Yeh killer mere saamne ek school bachche ki tarah kehraha hai ke notebook kho gayi"
Overall a worth watching movie if you are not a typical comedy-comedy kinda buff and you liked the previous one i.e. Gangster
