It is really a great movie of Tom Cruise depicts on the life of Samurai in pre modern japan.The film is setback on 1868, the time when Japan was on the path of modernization.The then Emperor of Japan young Meiji wanted to unify his country and to end the civil wars.Tom Cruise starring as an American general was sent to Japan along with some western officials.Their duty is to modernise Japan and to train the Emperor’s troops inorder to fight against the Samurai rebels. Tom was severely injured in a battle and was taken prisoner by the Samurai rebels.As a westener, he became fascinated with the beauty and the traditional life of Japanese people in the Samurai camp.
