The last witch hunter, as the name suggests, is a supernatural fantasy film starring Vin Diesel, Elijah Wood, Michael Caine and Rose Leslie in lead roles. The protagonist Kaulder, played by Vin Diesel, is a witch hunter who could be last best hope for humanity.
Eight hundred years ago, an evil witch had cursed Kaulder with immortality. Now in the present Kaulder still hunts the witches down who live among humans. Michael Caine plays the character of Dolan whose sole purpose is to keep a record of Kaulder’s doings.
A series of nasty events makes Kaulder partner with a witch, played by Leslie, to save humanity. The mythology that dictated the plot was intriguing. Vin Diesel was fantastic and charming as Kaulder. Some of the twists were predictable, yet fun to watch. In my opinion it is a good blend of fantasy, mythology, action and drama.
