Just returned from a week in Goa, spent the first 5 days @ the Leela Goa. Fabulous resort - fantastic property, dream beach, superlative service.need I say more.no wonder I could not get the booking for the last two days of the week.had to shift to Taj.not even comparable with the Leela.
I have been to Goa before and stayed at other hotels and visited other beaches, but the combination of a great beach and a great property that this property provides is just superb. And every request for service is handled immediately.no questions asked.
Had stayed at the Leela Kovalam last Diwali.that is another fantastic hotel, but that has a very small strip of beach which the Leela staff holds private for you by keeping others at bay;). The Leela Goa does not have a private beach, but the long stretch of beach that it borders is so vast and away from the regular tourist places that there’s hardly any non-guests around. Even if there are a few once in a while, they generally do not disturb the guest. There’s lots and lots of water sports available too(at a price though).
Would also like to mention that the reservations staff was extremely co-operative in getting bookings for my friend and his family(I had persuaded them to stay at the Leela so we could hang out together), despite the great Diwali holiday rush.
