Worst Experience in The Leela Palace Bangalore

One of a very bad experience in such a good hotel The Leela Palace Bangalore. I booked the rooms for my guest who was coming from Japan just because of the hospitality and good reputation of the hotel. There were many good hotels in Bangalore but I choose The Leela Palace Bangalore


Old Airport Road just because of the respect and hospitality of the Guest. At the time of check in on 08 February 2019 at around 01:00 am.


I told the staff who was there in reception, that what document is required since he is my guest and came from Japan so I was trying to make him comfortable. Staff told me don’t worry sir we will do the formality in the room itself. I was very happy by looking at this kind of service and feeling happy about my decision but that time I was wrong.


Staff told that due to security reason we cant allow more people into the room. Then I told its okay I can understand the same. When they visited the room staff took the photo of Passport of my guest and asked for the credit card and took the credit card photo also which is not acceptable. When I got to know the same. I asked the staff why you took the photo of credit card first he told that for caution deposit I need those and later on when I told him he is my guest and I already told you if anything is needed let me know why you have done this then he changed his word and told that he has not taken credit card photo.


After that, he told me to deposit Rs 20000 as a caution deposit for 4 days. He told me at the time of checkout I will return the same in the form of cash. I told ok and I have given my card but instead of taking Rs 20000 he took Rs 25000 without informing me. When I told him why you have taken Rs 25000 without informing me. It should be Rs 20000 for 4 days then he told for the safer side I took Rs 25000. I told him if any policy is there I am ready to pay any amount but what you are doing it’s not acceptable. Then he returned Rs. 25000 in my account immediately and after that took Rs. 20000.


This is the worst experience in such a good hotel. My Japanese guest told me that you told me its one of the good hotel in Bangalore and in India, this is the service of a good hotel The Leela Palace. At that time I have no word to explain anything. so it’s my request to all the people before making a booking in these hotels please think twice.
