Definitely taste this LUNCHBOX..

The trailer of dis movie with SAAJAN’s song playing in the background caught my attention..and I decided to taste this lunchbox..

Backdrop of life of Mumbai..d common man..local trains, buses..daily commute..work and home.. A lonely widower (Irfan) mistakenly gets dabba from a lonely housewife (Nirmat)..the tasty food leads to exchanging notes daily..

They share a lot about their own life with each other..and develop a friendship, a bond..The common man’s life is nicely captured in the movie..a typical housewife, caring neighbor aunty..

Relationship between Irfan n his Juinior Shaikh is beautifully depicted..his initial dislike and then their bonding later on ..Shaikh’s love n respect for this elderly senior is nicely shown..A lot is left to audience to interpret..

The movie has many subtle messages..nothing upfront..

It was refreshing to watch a simple, straight from d heart movie minus Bollywood masala..Thanks to the Lunchbox team to have brought a ’tasty’ delight for the audience..

Thanks to d awesome dabbawala’s of Mumbai who do this great job daily be it rains, cold or summer..

Some of d best scenes :

Ila and Aunty’s conversation

Irfan and Shaik’s meet

All wonderful recipes

Ila sends a empty lunchbox

Ila waits in cafe

Irfan has dinner at Shaik’s home

Irfans balcony

Shaikhs wedding

Local trains

Dabbawalas commuting

All actors were great n natural in d acting department..Hoping to see more of Nirmat..

Recommended..
