The average non-AC room in this area costs only about Rs 700 (Hotel Raviraj) but Hotel Manor charges Rs 1600 for non-AC and provides sub-standard rooms where even basic amenities sounds like a luxury item. When I asked to change the room, the room quality kept getting lower and lower. I was changed 3 rooms and never got basic amenities in any of them. They gave me a very low quality, dirty and filthy room with no plug points to charge cell phone and camera batteries, non-operational television, pillow with thickness of about 1cm, only one bulb working in entire room with no night lamps.
Gave only one towel for 3 people and when asked, they said they won’t have towels until 5pm. When I demanded again for the 2nd towel after 30 minutes, room boy delivered a wet towel with black stains on it. Its obviously an un-washed and an used towel from another room. When I told him, he agree it’s not washed and that is the only towel he is got. It was so disgusting. Later, we packed out stuff and decided to leave the hotel and search of another hotel. At that time, Mr. M.S Oberoi assured that he will do whatever it takes to provide us all basic amenities and finally did it at around 11pm. I was soo tried due to previous night travel from mumbai and it took more than 2 hours for them to give a decent room.
This delay in fixing the problem ruined by whole of next day. Was planning to leave to Ajanatha caves at 7am next day but due to problems the previous night, I could wake up only at 7am. Whatever mentioned in the website is a lie except for the tariffs. There are absolutely no good thing to say about this hotel except for friendly staff ...but that doesn’t help a tourist.
