Most of the readers who are reading this review prefers a private hospital to a government one. All of you are ready to give more money for the treatment if you are satisfied with the treatment.
But the mission hospital is class apart. I will be sharing my own experience.
My late grandfather had a heart problem and was admitted for a treatment in this hospital. The well trained doctors told us that he needed immediate medical attention, so we admitted him there and hoped for the best as promised by the doctors. The condition of my grandfather wasn’t that serious but we didn’t take any chance.
They gave medication to my late grandfather for 4 days. Then the bill came and it said that they had given 113 insulin injections. Just think of it once. If any normal human being is injected with that much insulin in just 4 days, he would die instantly.
We were out of our minds. We raised our voice and then they apologised for the mistake and said that it would have been 13 insulin injections. If we hadn’t seen that, they would have charged us for 113 insulin injections.
I have also heard of another case that happened a few years back when the angry patient’s family thew stones at the hospital’s main building and broke the glass panel. The reason for them being angry was a serious matter. Their patient had an accident and had already died. But the mission hospital declared that the patient was in a very critical state and admitted them. They treated the dead body for 3 days and charged a large bill for the treatment. When the family came to know about the truth, they took the steps. This reminded me of gabbar is back movie, but this movie was released after this incident. So there is no chance that I am bluffing.
There are many more cases of charging a huge amount of bill to the patients and thefamily members suffered.
There is no doubt that the treatment provided is good, but some corrupt doctors in the administration is doing a lot of damage to humanity.
They have made this into a large business. Of you get admitted to any other hospital in durgapur and your case is serious, these other hospitals will refer you to mission hospital for no reason and will charge a large sum.
Even the medicines at the hospital’s own medicine store costs higher that any other local store. You can check it out yourselves. When the patient is in a need of a very important medicine, they would go to the hospital’s medical store and will pay the greater amount without knowing the actual price of the medicine.
So we can’t do anything about the present situation. It’s better for you all to stay safe and clever. If you or any of your family members get admitted to this hospital, keep this in mind that you can be tricked anytime by the hospital’s administration. So it’s better for you all to stay informed about the things that are happening around you and you consult a trusted doctor first about the prices of the medicines provided.
Even the hospital’s ambulance service charge more than any other local ambulance service. So it would be better that for minor problems visit a government hospital and only get admitted when the condition is way too serious.
We should all remain safe and sound for the ones who care for us.
