The Mobile Store runs a poorly managed website which helps them trap unsuspecting customers. this website had a major sale listed a few weeks ago. I found the offer interesting and booked a phone.
The website accepted my credit card payment but would not generate a sales receipt. I did not get an acknowledgement of my order either. When I called later, I was told that the website had technical issues due to which wrong prices had been put up. When I wanted to know why the payment gateway was not disabled and my money was debited from my card, the response was that they would not accept the transaction.
My credit card statement received a few days later indicated that the website of the Mobile Store had accepted my payment. Now when I called store, they asked me to touch base with the bank. The bank informed me that the merchant(website) had accepted payment so they will have to refund. The mobile store now had committed fraud. It accepted payment, did not dispatch the product and refused to acknowledge receipt of payment.
Finally I had to escalate this issue to the company management for assistance. After a couple of days some helpful people from the senior team helped me get a refund. I had to meanwhile settle my dues with my credit card company for a phone which was not going to be delivered only because the mobile store online is a run by a set of people that does not understand business ethics or customer service. They finally processed my refund after a few days but after putting me through a lot of mental agony and distress.
The entire episode was a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone to buy from their website. Please purchase any product only at your own risk considering they can actually charge you money, not deliver your product and sit with a smug smile on their face as you run from bank to credit card company trying to find out how to get your money back.
Please avoid them like plague even if the discounts are attractive. It is better to buy at any other site. I ended up buying my phone on Amazon.
