Its deeply researched on history of money formula

Paul Wilmott and David Orrell have done deep research in writing this book. They have presented cases from history beginning with John Law who invented the modern paper money and dependence of the economy on paper money. They have carefully chosen the peculiar cases of mathematicians, scientists who have created financial models based on mathematical formulae and the theories which are present to this day. The authors have presented cases where situations went beyond control in the historical timeline whether its 1939 crash or 2008 financial meltdown. They have highlighted the dodgy practices based on these mathematical formulae which have led to massive wealth accumulation for few while draining the wealth of common public. The book briefly outlines the modus operandi of key historical players who changed the economy, government, and financial markets across the globe. Some practices are prevalent even to this day. The book is for serious readers who want to enter into brains of some notorious people from the history of the world. It is recommended the book for people who want to get thrilled by studying the modus operandi of these people. Those who do not understand the world of finance, economy it is not recommended for them. The overall content is simple to understand and definitely, the book is quite enjoyable and informative.

Cons- The price is bit too high for such books. It should be priced around 400-500 Rs while its cost is around 2200 Rs at the time when I read the book.
