Take out the pinch of salt !!!!!

Writing a book on the topic of ’’Self Help’’ is never easy, especially when your readers come from many religions, different background having their own philosophy of living. This increases the parameters on which the book is tested while many times reduces the acceptance of it. In case of this book after reading the book when you go for its digestion, you feel difficulty in dealing with Roseland in which Monks live, Lake with blue placid water and lotuses ....blah... blah....but at same time it inspires and shows you a pathway for living with greater courage, balance, abundance and joy.

I read this book with reference from my friend, sometimes felt to keep it down but somehow kept ticking and my perseverance paid off, now I feel I did pick up something from the book , If the extreme comparisons and high use of metaphors is taken in a right manner this book definately helps you to discovers a powerful system to release the potential of your mind, body and soul, and learns to live with greater passion, purpose and peace. It explains the blending of spiritual wisdom of the East with the success principles of the West with help of simple fable.

Everyone of us loves and listens to a good fable, and I thinks that made Robin Sharma to explain his thoughts/philosophy by putting it in the form of fable. For me it was easy to forgive the story’s simplicity because each kernel of wisdom is framed to address the persistent angst of Western white-collar professionals.

The story is a only skeleton framework. This book can not be read as a captivating, eye riveting story but as one great teacher of values so sadly missing in the lives of many people!

If I have to compare the book with any other book of self help, the clear difference is the sound methods to follow and simplistic view of universal principles.

Other books which comes to my mind are ’You can win’ by Shiv Khera which is real good on realistic front, and ’The Alchemist’ bu Paulo Coelho which is pretty captivating but this one has something in it, to be in the line of these books.

Mu Verdict: ’’ If you can read it nothing like it, This will allow you not to forget everything from the book, and trust me few things are good and that’s for sure!!!! .
