The concept was good and the implementation was a disaster. I havent seen many a movies that has promised much and not delivered and THE ONE will have the notorious and dubious distinction of being amongst the first english movie to disappoint me.
The concept is simple: There is not one universe but many universe - MULTIVERSE and a person exists in all these places and there is a balance created amongst these ’’1’’ people. When a person in 1 universe is killed, his power is trasferred to the other remaining people.
Jet Li in one universe discovers this and eliminates 123 other Jet Li’s and there is only one more remaining. Will this ’’good’’ Jet Li escape from the ’’Bad’’ one? forms the story
The analysis for such a story is not required. The whole movie( 1 and 1/2 hours) is a unending stunt and there’s nothing but fighting.
Can avoid this movie unless you want to badly see a poorly formed clone of THE MATRIX
